WDC 26 at Moreton Morrell
Moreton Morrell Tennis Court Club is delighted to be hosting the 2026 World Doubles Championship!
Wednesday 22nd - Sunday 26th April 2026.
The tournament is open to the best doubles pairs in the world and features:
- Two, best of 9 set, semi-final matches, each split over Wednesday/Thursday,
- 9 set final played over Saturday and Sunday.
The Championship provides an opportunity to see top level tennis in a wonderful setting. Moreton Morrell provides excellent viewing facilities within a beautiful interior, described after construction in 1905 by journalist and author of the time, Major Thomas Bouch as “the most modern in existence and many think the best in the world”. Doubles is a dynamic format and excitement is guaranteed from the world’s best doubles pairs.
More Than Top Quality Tennis
Supporting the main event will hold a handicap doubles tournament and the (unofficial) world championship of the American game of Squash Tennis on our unique court, as well as an opening reception on Wednesday 22nd and a championship dinner on Saturday 25th.
The club is located in rural Warwickshire with a host of tourist attractions within close range. Nearby Stratford-upon-Avon will hold Shakespeare’s birthday annual celebrations on Saturday 25th April, an exciting time for all interested in Shakespeare’s birthplace. If castles are more your bag, then Warwick and Kenilworth provide extraordinary examples of English history. For those looking for picturesque countryside, beautiful villages and landscapes abound in the Cotswolds stretching out south from the club.
