The second semi-final sees the defending champions and number 1 seeds start the defence of their title fresh from defeat in the US Open in March their first defeat in that competition for thirteen years. Tim and Camden have won the last five world titles and Tim won the inaugural event alongside Julian Snow putting him on six wins with Steve Virgona and Rob Fahey.

Set 1

The number one seeds eased into a quick first set taking it 6-2. World number one Camden Riviere was in impervious form by our count only making a single error. he is taking more of the pairs play with volleying support from Tim Chisholm.

Set 2

Another quick set and another 6-2 and an another solitary unfiorced error from Camden. A long conversation between Sayers and Taylor Matthews at 4-2 saw them trying to focus more of their play on Chisholm but Riviere is covering the court well. Leaving the dedans wondering how is even possible to get from under the grille to return a powerful volley into his backhand corner beyond the winning gallery.

Set 3

Whatever the secret is Sayers and Taylor-Matthews may have found it. Fewer errors in their own play, they managed to isolate Chisholm more and forced Riviee into a few more mistakes. Taylor-Matthews claimed the set at 5 all with a rifled backhand down the line into the winning gallery to he delight of the packed galleries. 2-1

Set 4

Losing a set generated an immediate response from Riviere and Chisholm taking a 4-0 then 5-1 lead. However Sayers and Taylor-Matthews weren't ready to concede pulling back to 5-3 before the American duo sealed the last set. The 4th seeds will be looking to build on the third set success when play resumes tomorrow evening. 3-1

Set 5

A very tight fifth set with Taylor-Matthews ans Sayers fighting hard to stay in the match. After trading games it fell to the number 1 seeds after a long deuce at 5 all. 4-1

Set 6

World number 1 Riviere was in no mood to extend the semi final any more than necessary taking control of the set assisted by some great volleying from Chisholm. A quick win conceding a solitary game and claim the berth in the final. 5-1
