Lady Hamilton Trophy 2018

Withdraw due to illness had left a small finals day field for the Lady Hamilton trophy but what was lacking in quantity was more than made up for in quality with a tightly grouped box of 40 handicap players which led to some good and well matched tennis.

The final saw former world Champion Sally Grant fighting for a title she had last won in 1999 take on her God daughter Hattie Hamilton who had previously won the title in 2016. Hattie had earlier beaten Sally in the boxes but Sally's competitive world championship winning spirit returned in time for her to take the title from a tiring Hattie.

Lady Hamilton was on hand to present the winners salver to Sally.
