Hugh Takes the Plate

Hugh Antrobus had some welcome success at the Category G National Championships at the Oratory over the weekend.

The weekend didn't start well for Hugh losing his first match in the main draw to Leamington's Ed Smith who's energy over three sets proved the telling factor. Hugh remarked that Ed was the same age as his son.

In the Plate competition Hugh's fortunes fared better and he was able to make it into the final where he overcome home player Damian Mayer to take the title.
